I have a problem with the fact that it's happening at all. and if it happens often, then they recommend some fixes.
I googled, and support forums and stuff basically says that it will happen, and just restart the audio engine to fix it.
Eventually you have to restart the audio engine. I've been loving voicemeeter and have been using it for a few months. (I have a hodgepodge of analog devices, USB audio devices, and different pieces of software I need to fade/mute/solo in and out of a livestream)
It's helpful because I have a hard mixer for analog devices, and a midi controller with sliders to control digital audio levels, mute, etc. I've been using voicemeeter to mix my analog and digital audio devices.
